GST News

Good news for bike lovers! The price of the Royal Enfield Classic 350 has dropped by ₹22,000 after the government reduced the GST on motorcycles to 18%. This change has made one of India’s most popular bikes more affordable for riders across the country. The new GST rate is part of the government’s plan to make two-wheelers cheaper and boost sales in the automobile market. The move comes at a time when many buyers have been delaying their purchases due to high costs and inflation.

With the new tax rate, the Classic 350 now starts at around ₹1.71 lakh for the base Redditch variant and goes up to ₹2.03 lakh for the Chrome edition. Earlier, prices ranged between ₹1.93 lakh and ₹2.25 lakh, depending on the model. Dealers have already started seeing a rise in customer interest. Many showrooms across big cities like Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru report an increase in bookings and test rides. Some outlets even say they have waiting periods of two to four weeks for certain colors.

The Royal Enfield Classic 350 has always been a favorite among Indian riders because of its retro design, comfortable ride, and powerful 350cc engine. It’s often seen as more than just a motorcycle — it’s a part of India’s biking culture. Industry experts believe this price drop will also affect other brands like Honda, Jawa, and Yezdi, which compete in the same segment. They may soon need to offer discounts to stay in the race.

With the festive season coming up, the GST cut could not have come at a better time. Buyers now have a great reason to finally get the bike they’ve been dreaming about.
